Budget airline Air Australia ran out of money and immediately grounded it’s five jet fleet on Friday. The airline went into voluntary administration which is similar to bankruptcy in the US.

All flights were canceled and no new booking would be accepted since the airline could not pay it’s bills. Around 4,000 passengers were stranded overseas that had flown on round trip tickets with Air Australia.
