It’s amazing that Uber still offers these kinds of promos considering they lost $1.5 billion in the third quarter, according to Skift.

I recently received another offer from Uber to get 50% off on Uber rides for one week.

Before I continue, I should mention that this offer is targeted. According to the T&Cs, the “promotion is valid only for riders who received this email directly from Uber.”

What’s nice about this promo is that it’s automatically added to the accounts for those who received the offer! No forgetting to enroll or add a code to your account etc..

I could’ve used this offer this past weekend, while we were in Manhattan trying out the new Sorbillo Pizzeria. (I settled for a Lyft ride which offered me a 10% discount.)

I’m not sure if I’ll really have a need for an Uber ride in the next week. It seems like I always get these offers at the wrong time.
