How does a free stay at a resort sound? You’d probably wonder what the catch was.
To get a free stay over a weekend at the ACE Adventure Resort in West Virginia all you need to do is some trail maintenance.
The free two- night stay offer takes place over one weekend, April 21-23. ACE is looking for volunteers to prepare their trails for the upcoming season.
Your free weekend in a mountain cabin won’t come easy. You’ll check in on a Friday night and the work on the trails for 8 hours the following day. On Sunday you’ll need to work for 5 hours.
Besides the free 2 night stay, volunteers will also get a free deli lunch on Saturday (no other meals are provided). You’ll also get to use a free bike rental to check out the grounds.
T+L mentions that “According to ACE, there are only a “limited number” of spots available for the weekend“.
To book a free stay, you’ll need to call ACE Adventure Resort (800-787-3982) to make a reservation. T+L explains that a full payment for the cabin is required. When the trail work is done on Sunday, you’ll be refunded minus a $25 cleaning fee.
Cool promo but I doubt anyone reading this will be taking advantage of the offer! Let me if I’m wrong.

DaninMCI- Interesting! Have you ever worked for a free stay?
Interesting. At first I thought this was coordinated with American Conservation Experience (ACE) but it seems to be a whole different group. Trail reclamation work is hard work but I think this is a good idea.
You do know that you can get free stays at a lot of resort for just working there in general of course 🙂
