The Michael W Travels family has visited Italy a bunch of times and we’ve always had fun and enjoyed the country. Some visits have been quite short but there always seems to be something interesting to see.
One town in central Italy is giving you the chance to get a free trip there as long as you get knocked up in one of ten hotels…
With the Fertility Room Initiative, “Couples who conceive a baby during their stay at the hotels can get a free trip“, according to T+L.
Proving that you did in fact conceive (or get knocked up) at one of the ten hotels in Assisi is kind of interesting.

Here is how it works:
The couple needs to come back with a birth certificate showing that their child was born nine months (or 10 days before/ after) after their stay. They can then be reimbursed by the hotel or get a free trip back depending on the hotel.
My guess is that the program is intended for Italian visitors to Assisi. The article mentions how “the campaign is intended to highlight low fertility rates in Italy, where the rate has halved in the past 50 years“.
