I recently wrote about how many points I’ve won (so far) from IHG Priceless Surprises promotion.
I’m hoping to get some more prize e-mails soon and also need to write out my final 14 entries. Boy am I not looking forward to that!

Some people thought that it might be possible to play the prize links extra times. This is not the case.
After each prize e-mail, we received a message stating that we should receive a second e-mail with instructions how to claim our points/ prizes. There have been no reports of anyone receiving such an e-mail or when it might arrive.
One reader, Smitty let us know that they sent a question in to Hello World, the company handling the promo to find out what was going on.
With the delay in prize e-mails coming in, I was happily surprised to see that Hello World got back to Smitty with an answer relatively fast.
Here is what Smitty wrote:
I had inquired about the “second” email that was supposed to follow the first(according to the language contained in the first email). After reading this response, it appears there will be no second email.
Sounds good to me. I’d much rather the points automatically post than have to go into a second e-mail for each entry. I could totally see some of us making the mistake of forgetting to add the points from a few of our entries.
Here is the e-mail that Smitty received from Hello World:
“Thank you for your email. Our team has confirmed that all accounts will be credited within (6) weeks. We sincerely apologize for this miscommunication, and any confusion it may have caused.
Please be assured that our team is working to update the language on the win screen to reflect the (6) week time frame.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a very happy holiday!
Best regards,
HelloWorld Customer Care”
So what we know now is that our points will be credited within 6 weeks to our accounts. During future play, the win screen will now let us know this information.
Hopefully we’ll receive some more game play e-mails later today and win lots of more IHG points!

DaninMCI- I agree! In 2015 you’d think points would post automatically or at least in a timely fashion.
It’s funny when I emailed HelloWorld early on they promised the points would be credited within 24 hours. I wrote them again and they said 24 hours again. I knew better. I think they could of avoided this but when you do the elevator game it says something like you’ll get an email telling you how to claim your points or whatever.
I also fail to understand why it takes 8 weeks or whatever on this kind of stuff in 2015. It’s not like it’s 1974 anymore.
I cant even get the emails after a stay end of November…..I have called ihg and the were no help its says 5 days after check out, well I am way past that. Now I am going to mail in entries I wonder if I will get them quicker than an actual stay. Of My acceralate had not updated either…..very slow maybe IHG should only do one thing at a time !!!
