Last week Southwest  Airlines sent me a targeted offer to earn 3,000 bonus points for completing a spend of $6,000 or more by a specified date.

Yesterday I wrote about a holiday bonus offer I received from AAdvantage eShopping. The same day I received AA’s offer, I received a shopping bonus offer from United MileagePlus Shopping (for Lucas’ account).

With the offer you can earn a lot of miles but you’ll need to do a decent amount of spending to earn the full bonus.

Here is how the offer works.

For a very limited time, from now through November 24, 2015,  MileagePlus Shopping is running the Holiday Bonus Campaign.

With the offer, you can earn up to 6,000 miles!

To earn the bonus miles, you’ll need to do a certain amount of cumulative qualifying spend. The maximum bonus you can earn is 6,000 bonus miles.

Here are the bonus miles earning levels:

• Spend at least $150 Get 500 bonus miles
• Spend at least $350, earn 1,500 bonus miles
• Spend at least $650, earn 1,500 bonus miles
• Spend at least $650, earn 3,000 bonus miles
• Spend at least 1,250, earn 6,000 bonus miles

According to the terms, “Returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products are not included in the bonus award miles eligibility calculation; please see the MileagePlus Shopping site for details on product eligibility and/or any coupon code details or other usage restrictions.”

If I was planning to go for any of the current bonus offers, this would be the one I’d be most interested in. However, given the short window for completing the spend, I won’t be going for this bonus offer.
