Yesterday I received an e-mail from Starwood Preferred Guest about a way to earn 2,500 bonus Starpoints with SPG Keyless.
For those of you unsure of SPG Keyless, here is some info. With Keyless, once you register your mobile phone, if you’re upcoming stay is eligible, you’ll get a push notification where you can opt-in to go keyless. When you’re room is ready, you’ll receive another push notification with your room number and you should be able to open your door!
The bonus can be earned until February 29, 2016 by booking an eligible stay at a participating hotel.
To earn the bonus you need to pay for your stay with a registered American Express card and use SPG Keyless at a participating W, Aloft or Element Hotels.
How to earn the bonus points:
- Register for the offer (link below)
- Download the SPG Mobile App
- Register and opt-in for SPG Keyless
- Book and pay for a stay with your registered Amex card
What’s an eligible stay:
According to the terms, “An Eligible Stay is defined as one or more consecutive nights paying an Eligible Rate at a participating SPG Keyless W, Aloft, or Element(SM) property regardless of the number of check-ins or checkouts that occurs and post to the member’s Starwood Preferred Guest® account. Eligible Stays with at least one night in the promotion period will receive a bonus. An Eligible Rate is any rate that is eligible to earn Starpoints in the Starwood Preferred Guest program“.
If you have an upcoming stay coming up at one of the participating properties, then this is definitely a nice little bonus offer. I don’t have any stays coming up with W, Aloft or Element. Although I’d like to give SPG Keyless a try, I won’t be making a special booking to do so…
