The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum’s Kids Week 2014 is coming next month.
Events will be held for 9 days, from February 15-23.
If you’re in the New York City area or going to be visiting, this sounds like an event worth checking out if you are traveling with kids!
I’ve been wanting to visit the Intrepid for years and still haven’t made it there. It’s funny how as a native New Yorker I feel like I’ve done little in my own city compared to ones that I’ve traveled to.
One of the main reasons that I’ve wanted to visit the Intrepid is to check out the Space Shuttle Pavilion which has the shuttle Enterprise on display. I’d also love to see the British Airways Concorde which is onboard.
Last year we thought about going to Kids Week but Lucas was a bit too young for the planned activities. This year we’ll try to go however we have a trip planned coinciding with the bulk of the Kids Week programs so I don’t think that it will work out.
Kids Week will feature different themes, activities and partners each day.
Themes Include:
- Science Meets Science Fiction- 2/15-16
- Superhero Headquarters- 2/17
- Broadway On Intrepoid- 2/18
- Safari Adventure- 2/19

- Intrepid’s Ports of Call- 2/21
