Last month I wrote about a fun New York Times Dialect Quiz. In the quiz there are 25 questions. Once you answer them, your personal dialect map gets created. The map shows your 2 least and most similar cities. The quiz seemed to be pretty accurate. I am from Brooklyn, New York and after answering the quiz, it said my 3 most similar cities were New York, New Jersey and Yonkers.
I just came across another fun quiz. This one is from Buzzfeed and tries to help figure out What city you should actually live in?
According to the Buzzfeed post: Just because you were born somewhere doesn’t mean you belong there.
The quiz has 9 multiple choice questions so it only takes a minute to complete.
Based on my answers, Buzzfeed said that I belong in London.
Based on the results, I’m not so sure how accurate the quiz is. For a few of the questions I would’ve liked a none of the above option to answer with!
I’ve been to London a couple of times and find the city to be alright. Buzzfeed is right that I do like city life and going to a nice restaurant but I am not into Burberry and was not a fan of the Tate Modern! However, I could see how NYC and London could be considered similar, being that they are both big, important cities of the world.
If you’re interested in finding out what city Buzzfeed says you should live in, you can take the quiz here. Let us know in the comments below, where you are from and where the quiz says you belong!
