Welcome to my blog! I created Michael W Travels to talk about pretty much all things travel.
On the blog, I post travel news, contests, deals, mileage offers/ bonuses and trip reports & photos from my travels around the world.
I’m a special education teacher and have lived in Brooklyn, New York all my life.
I’ve traveled the world extensively and have been to 109/193 countries on 6 out of 7 continents.
I always look for the best deals and often fly with airline miles. I usually fly coach as I want my miles to get me to as many places as possible. When it comes to picking a place to stay, I prefer staying in hostels. They are usually located in prime areas and can save you a lot of money which can be better spent elsewhere on the trip.
Other interests include: working out, baseball, food (seeking out the best burgers & pizza), running and spending as much time as possible with my wife Kim & sons Lucas and Theo!
I hope that reading my blog will inspire you to get out and see the world in ways you never thought possible!
Find out more about me in my interviews on Million Mile Secrets, From A Traveller’s Desk and Delta Points.
Make sure to check out my episode of the NowBoarding Podcast, the official podcast of BoardingArea. I can also be heard chatting about my hometown of Brooklyn, New York on the We Travel There Podcast!
Watch my Every Passport Stamp video Q & A and Travelers Century Club video Q & A interviews with Stefan Krasowski (Rapid Travel Chai).
Michael, you probably don’t remember me. But I think your incredible.
Michael: I would like to do a jump pic with you on the day that Hillary dies. I will finally be free and I’m anxiously awaiting that day.
I have been pushing for pierogies at McDonald’s for some time. The person that gets that contract would be rich.
I have a question about your photo of Louis Lunch in New Haven, CT.
I’m looking to buy a hi res digital file or print of the place and can’t seem to find one. Do you have one?
Thanks,
Diana
Patrick- I’m not sure, maybe just subscribe with the new e-mail?
How do I change my e-mail address that new posts go to ?
Thanks
I ran across your blog in an old forum …any chance you’d be willing to lend a hand to a newbie?
the next time you are in PDX Michael, plant your duff at A Pizza Scholls and lemme know what you think about their pies.
Someone forwarded me the Shit Fountain blog. I loved it! I live in Chicago and am going to make sure I hit this spot.
