When the COVID-19 vaccine first became available, I was lucky to qualify for it early on due to being a teacher. It was still hard to find appointments and I had to go to another borough in NYC for my shots.
Recently, all NYC-run vaccination sites became walk-in with no scheduled appointments necessary.
To me, the best place to get your vaccine is one which is most convenient for you to get to. However, not all sites are created equal…
Gothamist writes that “New York City’s hottest new vaccine hub is the American Museum of Natural History“.
At the museum, you can get your shot done under the famous suspended blue whale! Gothamist mentions that the blue whale is currently sporting a massive band-aid. (I guess he got the shot, too!)
(The last time we visited the AMNH was to celebrate Halloween back in 2015.)
And to add to your social-media post about getting the shot, you’ll be awarded after your jabbing with a sticker with an image of the whale saying ” I got vaccinated… under the whale!”
