Last week I wrote about a generous and refreshing offer from Coors Light.
The folks at Molson Coors felt that during these tough times, America Could Use A Beer. To help out, they offered FREE 6-packs of Coors Light for a limited time.
The promo was set to run until June 15, 2020 or when $1,000,000 in redemptions were claimed.
$1,000,000 worth of free beer sounds like a lot of alcohol. If each 6-pack cost $10.99 (the max purchase price allowed) that would come to 90,991.81 redemptions. From what I can tell, most 6-packs of Coors Light cost in the $8 range. If everyone paid $8 for their 6-pack, that would allow for 125,000 redemptions!
I headed out to the store right after I heard about this generous promo. I paid $7.99 for my 6-pack and immediately submitted the receipt when I got home. In one day, I received an e-mail from PayPal congratulating me on earning the Coors Light rebate!
A couple of days later, I went to get another 6-pack for Kim to submit a rebate for. This 6-pack cost $7.49 and it was the same process as mine. Within a day, she had a congratulatory e-mail and the rebate amount in her account.
I was considering trying for one more free 6-pack of Coors Light since it’s one per PayPal account and I have two. When I went to the rebate site, I was a bit surprised to receive this message.
Wow, that’s fast! In a little over a week, $1 million in Coors Light has been spoken for! I guess America really could use a beer! Did you get yours?
Willphx7893 (Not My Daddy)- I’d like to start this off by saying chill out. No reason to call names or be so hostile and angry. I’m not sure why you’re accusing me of taking advantage of deals and award programs. The 6-pack offer was good for one per e-mail/ PayPal account. My wife and I each got one. Please let me know what rule I broke? Cheers!
A-holes like you are the reason it went so fast. Instead of letting more people get one 6 pack, you go out and buy 2 or 3. Your the same type that violate all the rules with American and then cry foul when they close your account.
