I recently received an offer from my Citi ThankYou Premier card where I can earn a bonus of up to 2,500 City ThankYou Points.
With the offer, I can earn 5X points for spend made in a number of categories.
Eligible Categories Include:
- Clothing Stories
- Computer & Electronics Stores
- Department Stores
- Toy Stores
This is a solid offer to earn bonus Citi ThankYou Points but it appears to be targeted. According to the terms, “This promotional offer is non-transferrable and applies to the account ending in the last 4 digits referenced in this offer.”
Registering For the Offer: To earn the bonus, I need to sign up by February 28, 2017. Once enrolled, I have until 3/31 to earn the bonus points.
Some Rules:
- The bonus comes to 4 points per $1 spent in eligible categories.
- The max bonus which can be earned is 2,500 Citi ThankYou Points.
- All purchases must be posted during the promotional period.
- ThankYou Points earned will be posted to the primary cardmember’s account in 1-2 billing cycles.
Will I Try To Earn the Bonus? Probably not. I’m currently working on completing the spend on a credit card which I was approved for at the end of 2016. Since I’m rarely doing manufactured spend at this point, I need to focus my spending on this card.
Did you receive this offer from the Citi ThankYou Premier card? If so, do you plan to earn the bonus?
Interesting in earning miles and points to help you travel more?

FYI: If you apply and get approved for a credit card at the links above I may receive compensation. Thank you in advance for your support.
I got the same offer on my AAdvantage Plat Select card the other day. 3X miles for the same categories; up to 2,500 miles, through 3/31.
I have to get the nieces birthday gifts, so I may look in the department stores or toy stores to see if there’s anything they’ll like, but otherwise it seems to be a bit of a wash.
