In September 2014 I won a Lufthansa Twitter contest. No I didn’t win a flight anywhere but I did win a highly sought after toy.
Around a month after winning, my prize arrived. I had won a Lufthansa First Class Duck!
You can buy rubber ducks for .99¢ or so but the Lufthansa variety are hard to come by. Those who visit the First Class Lounge or Terminal can get a duck as a little souvenir. They can also be bought on Ebay and can fetch a pretty high price!
The ducks come in a variety of designs. Check out the Lufthansa Flyer’s Duck Registry here to see some of the many ducks given away. I won the king duck shown above.
From time to time I come across a tweet from the First Class Terminal (@LufthansaFCT) about a giveaway where one lucky winner will win a duck. That is how I won.
Earlier today I saw a tweet from the @Lufthansa_FCT about a way to enter to win a duck. I had also seen a tweet from the FCT about a giveaway last week.
Entering for a chance to win a First Class Duck is simple.
To enter you need to:
- Send a tweet to @Lufthansa_FCT answering the question: Can you guess how many litres of red wine our guests enjoy in the FCT every year?
- Include #FCTFacts in your tweet.

The Prize: A duck worth less than 10€ according to the T&Cs.
Some Rules:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- You need to have a Twitter account
- One entry per prize drawing is allowed
