Over the summer, the Michael W Travels family went on a 5 week trip to the Pacific.

During our trip we spent time in Tonga, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Samoa, American Samoa and Vanuatu. (I went on a quick adventure on my own to Christmas Island, Kiribati.)

I shared many photos from our trip on Instagram while we were away and continue to do so even though we’ve been back for around a month.

A few days back I shared a photo from Fiji. To my surprise, this Instagram photo got me 10,000 Club Carlson points!

The photo (shown above) was taken at the Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Denarau Island. It was a silly photo that I took of Lucas by the kiddie pool.

Lucas took a photo with a cutout advertising the Blu Bananas Kid’s Club. (Lucas attended a few sessions at the club during our stay.)

The day after I posted the photo to Instagram, I had a comment from Club Carlson.

The comment read, “So glad you’re enjoying your stay! Hope you had a great time. We’d like to give you a little something to say thanks for your post. Please DM us when you have a moment!”

I sent a quick direct message to Club Carlson thanking them for reaching out etc… Their response was, “as a way to show our appreciation for your kind words, we’d like to gift you some bonus Club Carlson Gold Points!’

I responded with a thank you and some personal info and then received this message. “Thank you, Michael! We have added 10,000 bonus Club Carlson Gold Points to your account! Thanks again for your loyalty.”

All I could say was, Amazing! Thanks a lot!

At times, it shows that it definitely good to be social.
