Last week I received a bonus offer from my Southwest Airlines credit card and now American Airlines has sent an offer to earn 5,000 bonus miles.
In the Holiday Early Access bonus campaign, American Airlines eShopping is offering me the chance to earn 5,000 bonus miles. To earn the bonus, I’ll need to do a somewhat hefty amount of spend through their online shopping portal.
Here’s the details of the offer.
AAdvantage eShopping’s offer is available for a limited time. I received the e-mail yesterday and it goes through 11/26/15 at 11:59:59 pm ET.
Besides earning the regular miles earned for shopping online at AA eShopping, the more you spend (during the bonus period), the more bonus miles you can earn.
Shop online and spend cumulatively during bonus period:
- Spend $150 or more, you can earn 450 bonus miles (bonus of 3 miles per $1)
- Spend $550 or more, you’ll earn 2,000 bonus miles (bonus of 3.63 miles per $1)
- Spend $1,200 or more, you’ll earn the max bonus of 5,000 miles (bonus of 4.16 miles per $1)
Obviously, the more you spend the bigger your bonus will be.
According to the terms: returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products are not included in the bonus miles eligibility calculation.
Bonus miles should post 8-10 weeks after the promo’s bonus period.
Since I don’t have any major purchases coming up I won’t be trying to earn any of the bonus miles being offered.
