Tragedy struck as an Uber Eats driver was killed in a crash after being carjacked in Washington, DC.
The man was carjacked by two teenage girls who are now being “charged with felony murder and armed carjacking” according to NBC News.
The Uber Eats driver was identified as 66 year-old Mohammad Anwar of Springfield, Virginia. Anwar was a Pakistani immigrant and grandfather of four. He came to the United States back in 2014.
The teenage girls, ages 13 and 15 have not been identified since they are minors. They allegedly used a stun gun on Anwar which caused him to crash the car.
The accident took place around one block from the Washington Nationals Park. The police found Anwar still alive at the scene. He died later on at the hospital.

It is noteworthy how the article singles the victim out as being a hardworking Pakistani immigrant. I doubt the new site would say the same if the victim were white.
