Casey Neistat is most famous for making creative and hilarious Youtube videos.

I first came across his videos when I was shown the awesome Bike Lanes video. Another video that stands out is when Neistat made his own Dr. Dre Beats Headphones.

He’s also made some travel-related videos including a recent one about the $21,000 First Class Airplane Seat.

The video is about a free upgrade from Business to First Class that Neistat received recently on Emirates. He was making the 14 hours flight from Dubai to New York City.

After searching for the price of the ticket, he says it would cost $21,635.30.

Neistat has been paid to make many of his videos from what I recall but he claims that he wasn’t hired or paid to make the First Class Airplane Seat video.

So what would you think Neistat would consider the coolest thing he’s ever seen on an airplane? The doors that close to make his seat a private compartment!

We’re shown the different amenities included like snacks and a pop-up mini bar (just in case you’d like to have a drink without calling a flight attendant over). With no set meal time, Neistat shows us some of the menu options. He orders caviar, makes some faces and lets us know that it’s…. salty!

One of the highlights of us his experience has got to be taking a shower at 43,000 feet. He gets 30 minutes in the bathroom including 5 minutes of running water in the actual shower.

While I’ve never had a shower while on a flight it sure does look like a nice luxury.

Check out the video:

Have you flown with Emirates in a First Class Airplane Seat? If you have, how did your experience compare to the one portrayed in the video?

  1. I see no problem with a t-shirt and cap or if you like to dress up, then go for it. In the end, if you pay for the ticket whether it be with miles or $$$, fly how you are comfortable.

  2. Nope.
But I look at wearing a t-shirt and backwards ball cap in F (especially an F like Emirates) in the same category as bare feet on the bulkhead, or talking loudly on a cell phone in public places, etc.
There’s no “rule” against it but whatever happened having a bit of “class” when the occasion arises.

    1. That mentality is one of the reasons while you’ll never in your lifetime fly first class on Fly Emirates, unlike Casey, the guy who wears a T-shirt and sunglasses because, why not?

      1. IMHO, there is a time and place for everything and wearing a t-shirt and backwards baseball cap while flying F on Emirates just isn’t one of them.

Some people have certain standards for doing certain things. As I eluded to in my second post. Feet on the bulkhead? Nope. Feet on your coffee at home? Knock yourself out. Talking loud on your cell phone in public places? Not for me. When you’re by yourself? Go for it.

And for the record… I haven’t flown F on Emirates – yet. I have a flight booked for a trip in Feb. 🙂

        Have a nice day.
