Update on Bourdain Food Hall, Shit Fountain, AAdvantage Aviator Red Retention Offer, Travel Channel’s Picks for 2016 & More- The Rehash!

Rehash

Last night Kim, Lucas and I got home from our trip to Cuba.

Although we only had to fly two somewhat short flights to get home, it was still an exhausting day of travel. (We also had close to a 6 hour break between flights.)

Our trip was definitely interesting and we had to make some minor tweaks to our plans but overall, everything went smoothly. I’ll be writing about our trip in some upcoming posts.

While away, my last new credit card of 2015 arrived. There isn’t much else to mention when it comes to miles, points and travel.

And now it’s time to take a look back (a couple of days late…) at some of this past week’s posts in a recap that I like to call, The Rehash!

A while back I wrote about Derek Jeter becoming an airport restaurateur. Now there is news of Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo opening boutique hotels.

There’s been lots of lists of top destinations to visit in the new year. Travel Channel picks 11 Great Destinations of 2016.

This looks really cool- A $6,000 personal submarine.

Here are some New Year’s traditions around the world.

And yet another bonus offer from Wyndham Rewards credit card for 1/1-3/31 2016.

More delays… An Update on Anthony Bourdain’s New York food hall.

This was a really fun and quirky place to visit. Looking Back: The Shit Fountain- Chicago.

Another annual fee came up on one of my credit cards. Did I get an AAdvantage Aviator Red retention offer?

That’s all I’ve got!

  1. Michael,
When writing up the US direct to Cuba trip, please include any required documentation and/or authorization required by either of the two governments to enter or leave respective country. Where did you clear US Customs and what was required? Any problems moving around Cuba? I’m sure readers would be interested in what they may face and what is required. Hope you enjoyed the trip ——-
