Thanks Amazon Payments, My Last Free 2,000 Miles/ Points

Screen Shot 2014-10-11 at 5.28.03 PMWhat’s been an easy and effortless way to earn  2,000 miles/ points every month for free over the past few years is about to end…

I’ve been sending $1,000 per month from Kim and my Amazon Payments accounts back and forth to each other since reading a post about the service on Million Mile Secrets.

Amazon Payments has been a great way to fulfill spend towards minimum requirements needed (for credit card sign-up bonuses) or a way to earn a small amount of free points each month. These small amounts sure add up. Who doesn’t like 12,000 miles/ points for free each year for just a couple of minutes work?

2014 has been a rough year for manufactured spend. Like the end of Vanilla Reloads back in April, Amazon Payments will be ending on October 13, 2014.

This means that there is under 2 days left to send $1,000 (and have $1,000 sent back to you) to earn free points.

Upon logging in and clicking the “send money” tab a pop-up stating all “transactions initiated prior to 10/13/14 will not be affected” by the end coming to the program.

Earlier today I used Amazon Payments for the last time. It was almost tear worthy knowing that this monthly routine will not be happening anymore. (OK maybe it wasn’t so sad after all…)

I know many people have written about the end coming to Amazon Payments but I wanted to remind everyone to make sure to use the service for the last time before it’s too late.

I also want to thank Amazon for the free miles & points that they’ve provided us for the past few years through Amazon Payments.
