Big Changes Coming To American Airlines?

In recent years many new fees have been added to enhance our flight experience. Everyone loves paying to check a bag, have a snack, pick a seat or gain a couple of extra inches of space in coach, right?

Now the most surprising fee of all might be coming to American Airlines in mid- March.

According to the Onion, AA will no longer offer free cabin pressurization.

American Airlines CEO Doug Parker said “Unfortunately, to stay competitive as a legacy carrier in today’s air travel market, it no longer makes economic sense for us to provide breathable air at altitude”.

However, if you fly in premium cabins (first or business) or pay an additional fee, air pressurization would still be available. Awesome perk, right?

  1. Not satirical real this. Virgin Atlantic considered not switching the engines on until reaching the end of the runway – instead they would tow the plane there and switch the engines on in a holding area. Congestion got the better of that idea

  2. Big deal – you missed the real news that Spirit was taking out the glass in plane windows to save weight. Per the press release it should hardly be noticed by passengers obeying the “seatbelts on” signs.
