Camelback Resort: A Fun, Family-Friendly Getaway Close To NYC

Camelback ResortI first heard about Camelback Resort (located in the Poconos, Pennsylvania) a few years back. The resort looked like it could be a fun weekend trip but Lucas was a bit too young at the time to make it worthwhile.

When I recently received an invite to check out the resort, I figured that it would be the perfect time for Lucas who is now 7 years old. Continue reading Camelback Resort: A Fun, Family-Friendly Getaway Close To NYC

Diggerland USA Construction Theme Park Adds Adult Option!

Diggerland
From our visit in 2014

In the summer of 2014, Kim, Lucas and I visited Diggerland USA, an awesome construction theme park located in West Berlin, New Jersey.

Lucas had a great time and since visiting the park, he’s asked to go back many times but we haven’t had a chance.

While the park appeals to families, the attractions are still geared towards little ones. However, a new attraction should have many adults wanting to visit too! Continue reading Diggerland USA Construction Theme Park Adds Adult Option!

A popular video game company is planning to bring some of their characters to life! According to Travel + Leisure, a Nintendo theme park is being built in Japan.

While I’m not a big fan of theme parks, I did love playing Nintendo growing up. I’m definitely interested in hearing more about this new park. Continue reading Watch Out Disney, Nintendo Theme Park Being Built

Thomas the Train Theme Park Opens in US

Thomas the Train Theme Park

Last summer we were invited to check out construction theme park Diggerland in West Berlin, NJ. (You can check out my review of the park here.)

It’s been a little over a year since our visit to Diggerland and Lucas still asks to go there all of the time. We were invited to come again to check out what’s new at the park after they celebrated their first anniversary.

While Lucas still loves diggers and other construction machinery, he’s also a fan of trains. Continue reading Thomas the Train Theme Park Opens in US

Diggerland NJ

In July 2014 Kim, Lucas and I visited Diggerland, an awesome construction-theme park in West Berlin, New Jersey.

We had lots of fun trying out many of the rides at the park. And funny as it sounds, Lucas still talks about it, asking when we can go back all of the time! We are planning to head back to Diggerland soon but we’ve been so busy. Hopefully we’ll get back there this summer. I recently wrote about America’s Wackiest Theme Parks which was based on an article from Yahoo Travel. While I don’t enjoy rides and am not much of a theme park fan, a few parks from the list sounded like they could be a lot of fun.

A couple of days after writing my post, I was happy to get invited to a park from the list that (I’d probably say) I most wanted to visit. Best of all, it happened to be only around a 2 hour drive from home!

This past Saturday, Kim, Lucas and I headed to Diggerland USA to see just what this “Construction Theme Park” was all about.  Continue reading Review: Diggerland, An Awesome Construction Theme Park

America’s Wackiest Theme Parks

I’ve never been much of a fan of theme parks. For most, the biggest attraction at these parks are rides like rollercoasters. Unfortuantely they make me sick, so for me theme parks spell a recipe for disaster!

Even the idea of going on kiddie rides (like the spinning tea cups) makes me cringe, so why would I ever head to an amusement park?

There are some parks have more to offer than just the typical, high speed, crazy spinning rides. Continue reading America’s Wackiest Theme Parks
