Delta T4X Closing Concert With Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran
T4X SoHo, NYC

Last week I was excited to attend the Delta T4X closing party and concert in New York City. I had visited T4X previously and had a great time. (Read about my visit HERE.)

T4X was set to close on Wednesday, May, 22, two days before Terminal 4 (T4) opened at JFK Airport.

The concert featured Ed Sheeran, a singer that I had never heard of before. Based on the line of fans waiting to get a glimpse of him just outside the theater (made up of mostly young girls) I could tell that he was definitely a known performer. A First At The Delta Sky Deck- JFK Airport, NYC

Final approach to the Sky Deck

Yesterday I was happy to share an unlikely encounter that I had while attending the opening of Delta’s Terminal 4 (T4) at JFK Airport. You can Read about it HERE.

Today I would like to share something that I did on the brand new Delta Sky Deck that I believe is a first. While checking out the new and incredible Sky Deck, I felt that it would be a great place for a jump! (Make sure to check out the photo below)

(For those of you that don’t know, I like to jump for photos at times. You can check out a sample of my jumping photos on Michael W Travels HERE.)

When my brother and I got to the new T4, there were a couple of things we were really looking forward to seeing. At the top of our (and I’d guess just about everyone else’s) list would be a visit to the Delta Sky Club’s Sky Deck. Continue reading A First At The Delta Sky Deck- JFK Airport, NYC

A Visit to Delta’s T4X in SoHo, NYC

a group of people in a room

Last month I wrote about a unique way to experience Delta’s new Terminal 4 before it opens at a unique pop-up location in New York City called T4X.

T4X opened on May 1 and I had been wanting to stop by but hadn’t had the time. Yesterday I finally got an opportunity to check it out. I had a great time and also picked up some very nice Delta goodies, some of which I would like to share!

Just a little refresher about T4X:

  • T4X is located at 376 West Broadway at Broome Street in SoHo
  • It’s open Tuesdays- Sundays until May 22, from 11AM- 3PM
  • Preview the new T4, book a reservation, relax, enjoy $4 lunches and random giveaways.
Here is a little about my visit to Delta T4X:

Virtually Explore Delta’s New T4 At A Pop-Up Space in NYC

a group of people in a building

Last month I wrote about Shake Shack And Other Impressive Food Options coming to Delta’s Terminal 4. (The post was also featured on Boarding Area blog Delta Points)

The new T4 will feature the largest Sky Club including the first Sky Deck, a 2,000 square foot outdoor terrace, more check-in counters, new powered seating to charge your gadgets and some great dining options. I’d love to check out the new T4 when it opens but I’m not sure when I will be flying through there again.

Here is another way to get a sneak peek into Delta’s T4 before it opens on May 24.

Shake Shack and Other Impressive Food Options Coming to Deltas Terminal 4

Yesterday I mentioned a post that I wrote for Rene over at Delta Points. For those of you that didn’t get a chance to read it there, here it is.

Over the last 2+ years Delta has been renovating and expanding JFK Airport’s Terminal 4. The expansion has a budget of $1.2 billion and will replace Terminal 3 for Delta’s international flights out of the airport.

Many improvements and upgrades are on the way including:

  • Two rows of check- in counters
  • A new, automated baggage handling system
  • Security check points being consolidated into one area which allows for all of the retail and food options to be behind security
  • An additional 9 international gates, giving Delta a total of 16 at JFK
  • Larger waiting areas
  • Additional, new and powered seating for charging your electronic devices
  • The largest Sky Club Delta has to offer

The Sky Club will have 24,000 square feet of space and include the first ever Delta Sky Deck, a 2,000 square foot outdoor terrace. The Sky Deck will offer guests amazing views of Manhattan which I’d definitely love to get a chance to see. The Sky Deck sounds like a great addition for an airport lounge.
