For those of you visiting a city like New York for the first time, there are lots of scams to look out for during your trip.

Uber Charges Customer $200 for Fake Vomit in Car

While Uber has proven to be quite a popular and useful service, they’ve also made the news for some negative reasons.

An Uber driver was arrested for injuring a service doganother driver drove through the closed Lincoln Tunnel in December 2015. Last summer an Uber driver was accused of rape. In May 2015 a driver with an Uber sign in his car window sexually assaulted a woman.

I recently wrote about a tourist scam in New York City where a couple of tourists paid $400 to ride the FREE Staten Island Ferry! I came across this story not too many days after hearing about tourists being charged up to $30 for a hot dog in the city!

This goes to show that you need to do your research and have an idea of what things should cost when visiting a new place.
