I came across a very interesting article from USA Today about a new kind of suite which was recently put in at Milwaukee’s airport.

No, Milwaukee didn’t get an Amex Centurion Lounge or a Delta SkyDeck but what they did get was something that should be a huge help to new moms. Continue reading Interesting: Nursing Stations Installed At Airport

Win A Trip for 4 To Summerfest

a group of people at a festival

Southwest is giving away a trip for 4 to Milwaukee for Summerfest– the world’s largest music festival. The event takes place for 11 days, features over 800 acts & over 1,000 performances.

Kim, Lucas and I spent a few days in Milwaukee last year and had a very nice time and I’d love to visit again some day. Too bad this contest isn’t open to New York residents.

Milwaukee Recap- Day 3

a map of a city

The last day of our visit to Milwaukee was probably my favorite day of the trip. It didn’t seem as busy or tiring as the other two days but it ended with a 2+ hour flight delay before heading home. (Check out my posts about Day 1 and Day 2 by clicking on the links)

Here are some of the things we did:

  • Harley Davidson Museum
  • Lunch at AJ Bombers
  • Visited a new baseball stadium to see the Brewers play
  • Stopped by Gilles- Milwaukee’s oldest frozen custard stand
  • A 2+ hour flight delay gave Lucas some time to play (in the airport) Continue reading Milwaukee Recap- Day 3

Milwaukee Recap- Day 1

a map of a city

We got home from our trip to Milwaukee a couple of days ago and I’m still trying to catch up on sleep. Our return flight was delayed over two hours. This messed us up and put Lucas’ sleep schedule a bit out of whack.

Our first day in Milwaukee was filled with food and drink related stops. Milwaukee is known for it’s beer history so we started our day with a brewery tour. During the rest of our day we visited a market and tried some local foods.

Here is a list of some of the things we did:

  • Visit to Miller Valley to tour the Miller Brewery
  • Tried out “Milwaukee style pizza at Zaffiro’s
  • Checked out the Milwaukee Public Market & Historic Third Ward
  • Dinner at Solly’s Grille
  • Had awesome custard at Kopp’s Frozen Custard

Our Upcoming Memorial Day Weekend Trip: Milwaukee, WI

a map of a city

We’ll be flying to Milwaukee for Memorial Day Weekend tonight.

Some of you might be wondering- Why Milwaukee?
I was looking to fly somewhere relatively close (and direct) on Southwest Airlines. At a little over 2.5 hours away Milwaukee seemed like a good choice. Other places under consideration were Detroit (Kim did not want to go) and Omaha (connecting flights made the flights too long for such a short weekend).

Visiting Milwaukee was appealing to me for a few reasons.
I’ll get to:

  1. Visit a new state- Wisconsin Continue reading Our Upcoming Memorial Day Weekend Trip: Milwaukee, WI
