We loved exploring Acadia NP in Maine and enjoyed (but weren’t overly impressed with) Great Smokey Mountains NP, located in North Carolina and Tennessee.

National Parks Fee-Free Days 2015

US National ParksEach year the U.S. National Parks offers a bunch of Entrance Fee-Free Days where entry to all parks are free!

Dates for Entrance-Free Days for 2015 were announced earlier in December. I decided to hold off a bit about posting them since the first free day isn’t until January 19.

One of the best ways to explore our great country is by visiting one of the many US National Parks. Visiting isn’t an overly costly proposition but its always even better when it’s free!

Free Entry To US National Parks for NPS Birthday

The U.S. National Parks Service is turning 98 in a couple of days from now and will be offering a great perk which comes around just a handful of times each year.

Monday, August 25 will be one of the Free Entrance Days at the national parks, giving you access for free to all 401 parks. (Only 133 parks actually charge an entrance fee.) Continue reading Free Entry To US National Parks for NPS Birthday
