Our Favorite Amex Centurion Lounge Meal Was At…

Amex Centurion LoungeOn the way to Costa Rica, we had to spend a night in Dallas since we couldn’t get a direct flight for a fair price using our miles or points.

While this was kind of annoying for a few reasons, the one positive was that we had time to visit the Amex Centurion Lounge at DFW Airport!  Continue reading Our Favorite Amex Centurion Lounge Meal Was At…

Win A Trip for 2 to Dallas from Southwest Airlines!

southwest airlinesAt the end of 2013, our final trip of the year was to Dallas, Texas. Kim, Lucas and I had a fun time and would definitely like to return at some point to see more of the area.

There’s been some cheap airfare deals to Dallas that I considered booking. However, a better way to go back would be by entering to win a trip to Dallas being given away by Southwest Airlines! (I know the chances of winning aren’t high, but you never know…)

Let’s see what the prize includes: Continue reading Win A Trip for 2 to Dallas from Southwest Airlines!

Dallas was a very good choice for our final trip of 2013. Although it was a quick visit, we packed in lots of fun and interesting things to do. This was our first time getting out of an airport in Texas,  and we had fun experiencing some things that the state has to offer.

Here is a list of some of the things we did:

  • Frontiers of Flight Museum
  • Lunch at Maple and Motor
  • Ross Perot Museum & Animals Inside Exhibit
  • A visit to a unique McDonald’s

Our Final Trip of 2013

Screen Shot 2013-12-20 at 1.30.42 AMAfter going away for Thanksgiving, I thought that we were done with our travels for 2013. However I just couldn’t resist, so I booked us one last short trip. We’ll be leaving this afternoon.

We were originally thinking of a couple of options, one being El Salvador and the other being a week in Texas to visit Dallas and Austin. However, I wasn’t off during the full winter break so we settled on visiting just one city in Texas: Dallas.

We’ll be visiting Dallas for the first time and have lots of ideas for things to do. It will finally be  nice to get out of the airport and experience a little bit of Texas firsthand. If the flight times weren’t an issue we probably would’ve picked Austin for this trip but based on what I’ve read so far, there seems to be some great things to see and experience in Dallas.

Trip Planning:
