Delta T4X Closing Concert With Ed Sheeran

Last week I was excited to attend the Delta T4X closing party and concert in New York City. I had visited T4X previously and had a great time. (Read about my visit HERE.)

T4X was set to close on Wednesday, May, 22, two days before Terminal 4 (T4) opened at JFK Airport.

The concert featured Ed Sheeran, a singer that I had never heard of before. Based on the line of fans waiting to get a glimpse of him just outside the theater (made up of mostly young girls) I could tell that he was definitely a known performer.

The doors to T4X opened a little over an hour before Ed Sheeran was scheduled to perform. During this time I hung out and had a couple of drinks and tried some of the passed hors d’ouevres. The drink options were very good. They included cocktails from the Delta Sky Club menu which were made from Ciroc vodka. I also got a chance to chat with some flight attendants and pilots which was very cool.

Once the music started I was pretty impressed. Sheeran played four songs during the mini-concert showing off his vocal talents. A couple of the songs were released in the U.S. as singles and were actually pretty good. He also interacted well with the crowd which made the concert a fun, half hour.

The concert aired live on cable music channel Fuse. I taped it and saw myself on TV quite a bit.

The concert was better than expected. I didn’t know Ed Sheeran’s music before the night began but I left liking what I heard.

As guests left T4X, flight attendants handed out goodie- bags. It was a nice finishing touch to a fun evening. The bags had some nice items inside. I got a Tumi amenity kit, Delta pocket- watch, Coca- Cola headphones, a beverage cup and Shake Shack free burger coupon (which looks like a plane ticket).

This has been a fun filled Delta week. Check out my posts about meeting Richard Branson and being the first person to jump on the new Delta Sky Deck.

Keep checking back for more about my time at the T4 opening.
