An Awesome Aviation Related Scooby Doo Gift For Kids!

scooby dooWhen shopping for holiday gifts for Lucas, it’s nice to get an idea of what kind of things he’s interested in but it’s even more fun to surprise him.

Lucas loves traveling and he also really likes planes. When I was offered a Scooby Doo Bi-Plane Snaptite Model Kit from Revell to review, I figured it would be a good item to hold off on giving him until the holidays. Continue reading An Awesome Aviation Related Scooby Doo Gift For Kids!

Product Review: The Mifold Super- Portable Booster Seat

mifoldIn travel and everyday life, safety is of utmost importance when you’re getting into a car with kids.

One of the biggest problems when it comes to traveling with a car seat or booster seat is portability. Bringing your own car seat equates to bringing a lot of extra bulk on a trip but it will save you a good amount of money instead of renting one. A booster seat isn’t as bulky as a car seat but they can still take up a decent amount of space.

We came across an interesting car seat alternative earlier in the year, the Ride Safer Travel Vest.

I had received e-mails about another, super- portable booster seat option a while back. Then, I was offered the opportunity to test out and review the mifold. Continue reading Product Review: The Mifold Super- Portable Booster Seat

Can the Ritz Paris Traveler Turn Coach Into Biz Class Comfort?

Ritz Paris

Getting comfortable while flying in coach isn’t always easy. However, most of us can’t always fly in premium cabins.

To help with comfort, there’s got to be some other solutions which can make economy class more enjoyable.

Airfiber is their proprietary technology that “helps you move easily, evenly distributes weight and allows airflow to help keep you in a deeper more restful sleep“. Continue reading Can the Ritz Paris Traveler Turn Coach Into Biz Class Comfort?

An Interesting Car Seat Alternative, the Ride Safer Travel Vest

Kim and I are always looking for ways to lighten the load when it comes to what gear we bring along on our trips.

Traveling with kids requires a variety of extra items. While we never use a car seat on flights, when we rent a car, we bring along one of our car seats so we don’t have to pay ridiculous rental fees of around $12 per day. Product Review: Kids Fly Safe- CARES Safety Harness

cares harness

(Publishing this review is long overdue…)

After flying 91,144 miles as a lap baby in his first 2 years, Lucas took his first flight in his own seat back in January 2014 (during our trip to Norway). He got some more experience flying again in his own seat in February during our Quick Euro Roadtrip, Our Visit to Malta & Milan and on a bunch of other trips since in 2014.

Although we did bring our car seat on Lucas’s second trip we didn’t bring it to Norway or want to bring it on the flights. We figured that his car seat would be a pain in the butt, taking up precious space instead of giving us extra space due to our third seat.

We were hesitant to have Lucas secured with only a regular airplane seatbelt so we started to look into other options. I had seen a couple of solutions at stores in the past but didn’t think much about them until now.

Clothing Arts, Makers of Best Travel Pants on Kickstarter w/ Exciting New Product!

Clothing Arts

In the middle of 2014 I reviewed a product that I’d consider to be the best travel pants ever. The pants that I am talking about are made by Clothing Arts and are called the Pick Pocket Proof Adventure Travel Pants.

These pants go on every trip that we take. If I’m not wearing them, then odds are pretty high that I’m wearing (in warmer weather) a pair of Clothing Arts shorts. (I prefer their Adventure Travel Shorts but the Business Travel Shorts are an excellent choice too.)

When I found out that the company had an exciting, new product available on Kickstarter, I couldn’t wait to take a look. Continue reading Clothing Arts, Makers of Best Travel Pants on Kickstarter w/ Exciting New Product!

Ballpark Food

For many of us food is a big part of travel and for some, visiting ballparks can be another fun thing to do when traveling. If you like both of these things you’ll want to read on…

In recent years I’ve chosen some domestic trip destinations based on the local Major League Baseball team being in town.  Continue reading Love Baseball & Food? Then This Book Is For You

broken zipper

Ever worry about a zipper breaking on a favorite coat or bag? Now imagine this happening during a trip.

Do you really want to have to go out and buy new gear? Maybe you can’t just get to a store. You might be hiking the Inca Trail or on a trip to a remote place somewhere in Africa.

What if there was another way to fix your things and no need to scramble to replace them. Continue reading Broken Zipper During A Trip- This Might Help

Amenity Kits, Not Just In Premium Cabins

amenity kit

A couple of weeks back I wrote about what I feel is The Worst Biz Class Amenity Kit Ever.

Considering that we tend to fly much more frequently in coach, amenity kits are not something that we get often.

Over the years we were disappointed with our Singapore kits (more a small pouch), really liked our American Air (business & first) kits and loved Lufthansa’s Awesome Oktoberfest Inspired Amenity Kits. There are quite a few others that I didn’t mention but you get the idea…

While amenity kits come in all kinds of quality and varieties, it’s always nice to get an unexpected amenity kit when flying at the back of the plane. Continue reading Amenity Kits, Not Just In Premium Cabins
