No Issues Loading Target REDcard with Multiple Debit Swipes!

Target Prepaid REDcard

Yesteday I wrote of the problem I had loading my Target Prepaid REDcard at a store in Brooklyn, NY.

At the Target Atlantic Terminal I asked to load $600 to my REDcard, splitting the amount among three cards. I was told that more than one debit card was not allowed when doing the load.

This was a bit of a surprise to me since I had heard or read nothing about this to date. (Target employees have had a hard times splitting debit loads since they didnt know how to do the transaction but I was never told no before.) Target Only Allowing One Debit Swipe Per Day for REDcard?

Target Prepaid REDcard

It’s been close to a month since I last visited Target to load my REDcard with a debit card.

When it comes to debit cards, I’ve been using $200 Visa gift cards purchased at Staples with a Chase Ink card to earn 5X points each time.

I recently received a highly profitable offer from Amex Offers. When spending $250 or more at select stores I could get a $75 statement credit up to 5 times.

The store I was most interested in was Staples. Continue reading Target Only Allowing One Debit Swipe Per Day for REDcard?

My First $75 off $250 Amex Offers Confirmation!

Amex Offers

A couple of days back I wrote about double-checking my Amex Offers, and finding out that I was targeted to get up to $375 in free money on my SPG Business card.

For those of us that got this offer, here is how it works. If you add the Stock Up and Save for Your Business offer to your card and spend $250 or more (at stores like Home Depot, Staples, Jetro or a couple of others) you get a $75 statement credit up to 5X.

This means that if you max out the offer, it’s like getting $375 in free money! Continue reading My First $75 off $250 Amex Offers Confirmation!

Amex E-Mail: No More REDcard Loads By Credit Card. Really?

Target REDdcardI got my hands on my Target REDcard in January of this year and it wasn’t long before I started encountering issues with loads being done by credit card.

By the end of February at some Target locations a manager had to load the card, also limiting loads to $1,000 per day. This made loading the full $5,000 per month take 5 visits as opposed to 2.  Continue reading Amex E-Mail: No More REDcard Loads By Credit Card. Really?

Interesting REDcard Question I Was Asked At Target

REDcard

Earlier in the month I wrote about something I was never asked before about REDcard while visiting a Target in Atlanta.

After having success loading my REDcard with a Visa gift card, I headed back to Target, this time in Long Island to see if it would go as smoothly when loading more than one card. Continue reading Interesting REDcard Question I Was Asked At Target

Does Your Target Have Hard Time Splitting Debit Loads To REDcard?

Target REDcard

After having success loading my Target REDcard with a Visa gift card I needed to try again, this time upping the ante.

During my test run I had no issues loading one $200 Visa gift card to my REDcard. If I stuck to one $200 load per visit, it would definitely be a slow process building up my points balance. Continue reading Does Your Target Have Hard Time Splitting Debit Loads To REDcard?

Target REDcard Visa Gift Card Load Success!

Target REDcard

For quite some time the Target REDcard prepaid was the easiest and cheapest (free) way to manufacture spend $5,000 per month.

Then things started to change. In February I wondered if Target was limiting credit card loads to REDcard to $1,000 per day? This wasn’t exactly the case but was the rule for many locations…

I had not so great results loading my card at the beginning of March followed by a great experience in Charleston, SC. Continue reading Target REDcard Visa Gift Card Load Success!

With Target REDcard’s Sudden Demise, What’s Next?

Target REDcard

It’s hard to believe that my final Target REDcard load was in Atlanta on May 1.

Last week I was in Atlanta for a few days to attend the Freddie Awards and a couple of other related events including the Delta Jet Drag.

I stopped by Target a couple of times to load my REDcard. The first time was to finish off my load for the month of April with the second time mentioned above. Continue reading With Target REDcard’s Sudden Demise, What’s Next?

Target REDcard: Atlanta- I’ve Never Been Asked This Before

Target REDcard

A few days back I wrote about my experience loading my Target REDcard prepaid while in Atlanta.

Things went well and I had no problem loading the final $2,000 for the month of April at the Atlanta- Edgewood store.

With April coming to an end,I thought it would be a great idea to start off the month of May right by doing at least one load onto my card before heading home. Continue reading Target REDcard: Atlanta- I’ve Never Been Asked This Before

Target REDcard Experience: Atlanta

Target Prepaid REDcard Limiting Load By Credit Card To $1,000 Per Day? 1

I’ve been in Atlanta for the past couple of days. The main purpose of my visit was to attend the Freddie Awards which took place last night. Today many BoardingArea bloggers (myself included)  had the opportunity to pull a Delta jet for good cause!

Besides attending some events related to the Freddies I also had a bit of free time. I visited a couple of museums and also made it a point to get over to Target to finish loading my REDcard for the month of April.

So how did my experience go? Was it a success or major hassle similar to how it is at home in NYC? Continue reading Target REDcard Experience: Atlanta
