A United Airlines employee was run over by a wheeled jet bridge earlier in the week.

The employee was moving the jet bridge at Newark Airport when his leg got run over.

The flight had arrived from Aruba at Newark Airport. The United Airlines employee, “was part of the team helping passengers exit the aircraft“, according to Fox News.  The 33 year-old was taken to University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Fox mentions that United is investigating the situation. Local authorities are also looking into what took place.

This is the second issue that took place on the tarmac this week which made the news. (I recently wrote how a man was kicked off of a flight, stripped and punched an airport employee.)

  1. I believe he was management..He shouldn’t have been doing the work in the first place.
Employees are trained and certified to do this work!
This is sad and tragic, should never have happened.
