The TSA finds lots of odd things in people’s bags. In late 2016, Lucille from the Walking Dead was found in a carry-on. A knife was also discovered in an enchilada!

If you aren’t sure if an item is allowed in a carry-on, you can ask the TSA through Facebook Messenger.

The TSA found a very interesting and odd item at Boston Logan Airport.

TSA officers found a live, 20 pound lobster in a man’s carry-on bag!

The funniest part of the story is that it isn’t illegal. USA Today says that, “big or small, the crustaceans are allowed to be taken through security.” Lobsters can be taken through security and surprisingly, it can be a common occurrence in the region.

Lobsters need to be stored for flying appropriately which means “a clear, plastic, spill-proof container.” The TSA also suggested that you find out the policy of the airline you’ll be flying.

The lobster discovered at Boston Logan Airport was “packed in a cooler and cooperated quite nicely with the screening process.”

And in the end, the lobster was allowed to fly.
