Barack Obama Is Spending A Month On A Private Island

Barack Obama has been enjoying himself since his time as POTUS came to an end.

Just a couple of weeks after his presidency ended, Obama spent time vacationing at Richard Branson’s Necker Island. I’ve also read that he’s been spotted dining around New York at some of the city’s top restaurants.

Talk about the good life!According to T+L, “On Wednesday, Obama landed in Tahiti, according to local reports, on his way to luxury resort The Brando (named in honor of the late actor Marlon Brando) on the private atoll of Tetiaroa“.

Rates at the resort start from $2,000 per night! The island “has 35 villas located on white- sand beaches with sea turtles and exotic birds“.

While the island sounds beautiful, a month sounds like a very long time to stay.

So why might Barack Obama be staying on The Brando for so long? T+L mentions that it’s possible that Obama might be working on his memoir “for which he and Michelle Obama recently scored about $60 million“.

A $2,000 per night resort sounds like chump change for someone with that rich of a book deal!

  1. At least now his many vacations are not totally at taxpayer expense. Wonder what it’s costing us all for his Secret Service protection on this $2000+/night resort?

    1. Not as much as Trump’s 10 golf trips in 8 weeks ($10 mil compared to Obama’s $96 mil in 8 years). Or as much as Barron Trump’s $183 mil school voucher (cost of security for Trump Tower).

  2. His “many vacations”? His successor is running up a tab for us for $3 million a weekend, 6 so far plus un specified large sums to protect his wife and son in NYC.

  3. When the white guy eats Doritos and watches Fox News 6 hours a day and then plays golf every weekend, he’s taking a break from his stressful job. When the black guy plays golf, he’s mooching off the system.

    You people make me sick.
