Various celebrities have been getting into the hotel business. Leonardo DiCaprio plans to build an eco-resort on a private island. Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo invested in boutique hotels.

Now Brad Pitt is set to become a hotelier. The superstar actor plans to open a luxury resort in Croatia.

CN Traveler reports that the resort will include “a hotel, villas, restaurants, shops and a golf course“. The project will be built in Zablace and will cost over $1.5 billion!

Brad Pitt went on a trip to visit the project’s proposed site a couple of weeks back. There’s already a $70 million investment from Swiss-based fund TFI Holdings. Architect Nikola Basic was with Pitt on the visit said that Pitt thinks Croatia is “the most beautiful country he has ever visited.”

Part of the plan for the project will have a charitable element to it which will include building schools and a clinic to help residents in the area.
