Rehash

Kim, Lucas and I spent this past weekend at the Radisson Martinique in NYC. This was booked almost a year back before the stay 2 benefit went away.

The room was small but nice and while I typically try to avoid the Herald Square area, the hotel is located on a great block in Korea Town. I could see staying here again if we have no other use for a free night certificate expiring in August.

I finished the important booking details for my next trip, coming up in less than a week! I’ll have a couple of posts about it this week. This should be a very interesting trip and experience!

How has your week gone when it comes to miles, points and travel?

Now it’s time to take a look back at some of this past week’s posts in a recap that I like to call, The Rehash!

If you like travel and food- related television, A couple of new Travel Channel shows were announced. (One actually debuted since I wrote this post.)

Here is a Budget Travel Tip: Save Money, Visit the Hotel Fitness Center. Have a tip to share? Please let us know!

I’m impressed so far with how fast the airline got back to me. AA responds to my request to waive award ticket cancellation fee.

Sounds like a nice prize: Win a trip for 2 to Dallas from Southwest Airlines. Enter by midnight (DCT) on 4/ 30.

Credit card bonus offer: 2,500 Citi Thank You points for adding an authorized user.

Thinking of visiting? Beer lovers might want to pass on visiting Cuba.

I’m looking forward to this. Clothing Arts, makes of best travel pants on Kickstarter w/ exciting new product!

I don’t know what’s wrong with people. Do people not know how to act when they step onto a plane? Check out theses two posts:

In one incident a Passenger throws water on flight attendant!

And then a Passenger spit at flight crew during Air New Zealand flight!

That’s all I’ve got!

‘Til next time!

  1. Rich- Kim and I are both Gold. No acknowledgement was made for it but wifi is free in the hotel. I’d definitely recommend going for Korean food. We were going to do one of the BBQ places but weren’t so hungry so we ate at Bon Chon which was very good.

  2. MW,
We are scheduled for a 2 night stay at the Martinique Hotel next month. Do you have any “elite status” with Club Carlson, were you recognized as such and did you receive anything for it? Room upgrade, complimentary breakfast, free wifi, etc.? Any recommendations or tips? Thanks —-
