AMC’s The Walking Dead has been my favorite show on television for quite some time now.

While I’m not a fan of cruises (I get bored and seasick), those that are can now combine their love for The Walking Dead and travel together…

Before we continue, check out a couple of posts that I’ve written related to the Walking Dead:

The first Walker Stalker Cruise sets sail tomorrow, January 15 from Miami, Florida and will return on January 18.

The three night cruise will head to Nassau, Bahamas.

So what exactly is a Walker Stalker cruise?

It’s basically a big fan festival/ comic con aboard a ship. Actors from the show will be onboard. Passengers can participate in photo-ops, question & answer sessions, theme nights, costume contests and more.

Some popular cast members which will take part include:

  • Norman Reedus aka Daryl Dixon
  • Danai Gurira aka  Michone
  • Emily Kinney aka Beth
  • Chad L. Coleman aka Tyreese
  • many more…

While the cruise would not be my idea of a fun vacation, apparently many are excited for it as the cruise has been sold out for quite a while now.

Lonely Planet mentions that other theme cruises have been running like a “Star Wars-themed Jedi Training Academy aboard its ship, and a Star Trek-themed cruise allowed fans to indulge their inner Trekkie… Another was designed for cat-lovers“.

I checked out the Walker Stalker Cruise website to find out some more details:

  • Cruise takes place on the Norwegian Pearl
  • All meals, accommodations & use of ship amenities are included
  • Photo & autograph sessions with the cast are not included
  • Guests can pay for a zombie makeup experience

The Walker Stalker Cruise is definitely not a cheap event.

Here are some prices for the cheapest rooms (per person):

  • Double: $750 per person
  • Triple: $600 per person
  • Quad: $525 per person

Prices above do not include taxes & fees of around $225

Would you be interested in taking a themed cruise? I’d definitely pass even if I didn’t get seasick.
