You NEED To See These Instagram Photos

I’m sure that we’ve all seen those silly photos where with a little trickery it appears your friend is holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa or kissing the Sphynx in Egypt.

While they are a bit ridiculous, I’m guilty of trying this out in the past and it can be a lot of fun! (Also, who am I to judge? I do jump for photos all over the world!)

I recently came across some amazing travel photos which remind me of the photos I’ve described above, they’re just a whole lot better.

A 28-year-old London man, Rich McCor was having some fun adding paper cutouts to British landmarks and posted them online. Then his Instagram photos went viral…

According to CNN, “When Britain’s “Daily Mail” publicized some of his photos, McCor went from 5,000 followers on Instagram to about 60,000 in a week“. Then something cooler happened.

Lonely Planet got in touch with him and sponsored part of a trip around Europe to add his paper cutouts to sites in cities like Paris, Stockholm, Copenhagen and more!

McCor got started when he placed a cutout of a watch band in front of Big Ben (image above).

Now McCor hopes his new fame might lead to more projects. I like the way he thinks! McCor hopes he  can use his artwork to do more traveling. The CNN article mentions that he’d really like to do some thing for the 2016 Olympics in Rio!

I sent an e-mail to Rich McCor a few days back. He seemed humble and quite happy to hear how much I liked his photos. I suggested that they should be sold as posters or even a coffee table book and he did mention that he might have some future plans!

Here are a few of my favorite photos:
