New Passport+Global Entry- Read This, No More BA 4,500 Mile Awards, Best in Travel 2016, Unusual US Attractions & More- The Rehash!

Rehash

It’s been a good week for booking travel around here and a difficult week for baseball…

We’re pretty much done booking flights for the remainder of 2015 with two trips coming up. One of them is a quick trip, the other a bit longer to close out the year. As for baseball, it’s been a tough World Series for the New York Mets. These 8:07pm game starts are exhausting with the games ending close to midnight! With the Mets down 3-1, it’s not looking good…

Otherwise, I’m still waiting to find out if I was approved for a credit card with a big bonus that I was conditionally approved for almost two weeks back. Hopefully I hear the good news that I’m approved soon…

How has your week gone in miles, points and travel?

Now it’s time to take a look back at some of this past week’s posts in a recap that I like to call The Rehash!

If you just got a New passport and have Global Entry? You need to do this. We’ll need to do this for Lucas very soon.

Did you receive this targeted offer? United MileagePlus Shopping 500 bonus miles offer.

Check out some of the Quirkiest American Attractions.

When this opens, I’d love to go! Jon Stewart’s farm, a new tourist attraction?

Lots of lists and suggestions… I plan to take a closer look at some of them! Lonely Planet Best in Travel 2016.

Another blow to the value of our miles & points. No more British Airways Avios 4,500 mile awards in N.America. I’m hoping to book a few more short flights before the increase kicks in.

A pretty od promo: Air France showing Star Wars: Episode 7 Before Worldwide release.

Here are some of the Most unusual US landmarks. If you have some others to add, please let us know.

This is pretty cool! Southwest CEO Gary Kelly loves Halloween.

Hot Deal: any Lonely Planet ebook, $8.99 for a limited time. This is a great deal which ends at midnight on November 1. Charlie from Running with Miles commented about a way to get the ebooks for even cheaper.

Southwest offered free drinks for Halloween and has one more date coming up. Find out when you can next get a freebie during a flight.

Warning: Uber Surge Pricing on Halloween. With Halloween now a distant memory, I wonder if anyone got stuck with a huge Uber bill…

This one is kind of scary… A flight was diverted after a 9/11 rant.

  1. Ang- Already booked Toronto and booked one way to Montreal but only have a day. (Going to YUL to catch another flight). I’m also hoping to book a few flights to visit some baseball stadiums I haven’t been to before.
