Former Daily Show host & comedian Jon Stewart along with his wife Tracey will be doing some good with their farm in New Jersey.

According to Buzzfeed News, the Stewarts will “start a sanctuary for abused farm animals“.

Jon Stewart and family were honored at an event “hosted by Farm Sanctuary, a non-profit that helps rescue animals from factory farms“, according to Buzzfeed.

At the gala Tracey Stewart made the big announcement that their farm in Middletown, NJ would become the non-profit’s newest animal shelter. An educatonal center will also be on the property.

A really cool part of the news was that Jon Stewart’s farm sanctuary will eventually be open to the public for tours!

Kim and I have found animal experiences during a trip to be some of our favorite & most memorable things we’ve done. I wrote about My Top 5 Animal Encounters back in 2012. Since then, we’ve had other great animal experiences including our recent Visit to the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital.

With Middletown, NJ being just a little over an hour drive from home, I could definitely see us making a visit to Jon Stewart’s animal sanctuary/ farm in the future.
