With Christmas just a couple of days away and Hanukkah having only a couple of nights left, I’d bet that we’ve all received our fair share of holidays messages.
Last week I wrote about an e-mail from United Airlines which had a holiday message inside (along with a link to a YouTube video). While I thought it was very nice of the airline to reach out, I suggested that maybe they could also send some miles my way as a gift next year…
Well it sounds like another airline may have listened to my suggestion (or more likely planned this giveaway all along).
Virgin America seems to be pretty generous with giving gifts.
This past Saturday I received a birthday message along with some Elevate points from them which was definitely appreciated.
This morning I received an e-mail from Virgin America with the subject: “Happy Holidays. Unwrap your 500 Elevate bonus points.”
Wow, another free 500 points! I know it isn’t much but it definitely is the thought that counts. With airlines mostly taking away benefits and perks, it’s nice to see an airline giving it’s Elevate members a small gift.
Here is the message I received from Virgin America:
’Tis the season to show appreciation to our loyal Elevate members by spreading cheer with 500 bonus points.* Simply register to grab your points and feel the joy.
As you see from the message, in order to get the 500 points, I needed to register to claim them. All I had to do was click the link provided in the e-mail and hit submit at the bottom of the form (which was pre-filled with my information). Easy enough…
- Bonus must be claimed by December 31, 2014
- Members will receive the points within 3 weeks of submitting the claim
- Bonus reward points don’t qualify towards Elevate Silver or Gold status
Did you receive a holiday gift of bonus Elevate points from Virgin America?
If you’re an Elevate member and you did not receive this offer, be sure to check your spam folder and also make sure that you are signed up to receive e-mail messages from VA.
You can also try to fill out the holiday bonus form here with your Elevate account #. No guarantees that it will work but it’s definitely worth a try!
