It was a tough getting back into the swing of things at work after an extra long weekend. With that said, Cyber Monday helped us finish booking our fast approaching winter travel plans.
We have one trip left for 2014 that we’re definitely looking forward to. I’m already working on plans for our trip in the Spring. I have a few incredible ideas and we’re debating which location will be the winner.
It’s time now for The Rehash, my end of the week post where I’ll recap some of the interesting things that found their way onto Michael W Travels!
Thanksgiving brings the start to crazy holiday shopping with loads of sales and deals. How did you “spend” your Black Friday & Small Business Saturday? Let us know if you got anything good on BF and how you spent your Amex SBS credits!
I’d been putting off booking a hotel for our upcoming trip which is 18 days away. Thanks to Cyber Monday, procrastinating paid off. I saved $500 thanks to Orbitz. Talk about an amazing promo!
Find out where you’ll find America’s Most (& Least) Attractive People.
This one should get filed under stupid news or better yet, stupid person. Doctor fined $90,000 for bomb joke at airport. Who doesn’t know that you do not joke about having a bomb at the airport. Common sense. No?
Yahoo travel wrote about 12 Things flight attendants can’t do for you. Many of these things might not actually be true and I plan to look a bit more into this by asking a flight attendant friend to look over the list and share his thoughts.
Miles and points promos can be confusing. What seemed like a simple offer had no wording as to how to claim your points. I wrote the post US Bank Where are my 500 bonus FlexPerks points? US Bank randomly responded to my post through Twitter which led to the Update: 500 Bonus US Bank FlexPerks Points.
Another one of my credit cards had the annual fee come up. Find out about my Chase British Airways Card Retention Offer.
Bonus Bump: 10,00 extra miles for US Airways Mastercard. If any of you recently got the card with an offer less than 50,000 miles, I’d either call or send a message while logged into your account and ask (nicely) for the extra miles.
I got a targeted offer from United Shopping: Spend $75, Get 500 Bonus Miles.
Changes to JetBlue were major news a couple of weeks back… So I booked a flight after JetBlue apocalypse.
And I leave you with Frommer’s picks for Best places to travel in 2015. I’d add my picks but I guess (for me) those would be wherever we choose to go next year!
Keep checking back for more posts and another possible giveaway. Have a great week!
