America’s Most (& Least) Attractive People

Most Attractive Cities

Here is a somewhat odd list/ slideshow from Travel + Leisure.

In T+L’s annual America’s Favorite Places survey I’d expect to read about places ranked for culture, sightseeing, museums, food, hotels, beaches and other things along those lines. However, T+L also asked survey participants to also rank cities based on most and least attractive people!

Ranking cities based on attractiveness is definitely a subjective thing to do and might just piss a lot of people off.

If I had to pick cities with the most attractive people, I’d probably guess and say New York City and Los Angeles. As for least attractive, I really have no clue. How about I just pick a state like West Virginia. (I haven’t been there so I am not judging based on experience!)

Here are the Top 10 Most & Least Attractive Cities, ranked by T+L readers:

Most Attractive:

  1. Miami
  2. San Diego
  3. Charleston
  4. Los Angeles
  5. Providence, RI
  6. Minneapolis/ St Paul
  7. Nashville
  8. Atlanta
  9. Honolulu
  10. Tampa

Least Attractive:

  1. Detroit
  2. Tie-Memphis
  3. Tie- Oklahoma City
  4. Baltimore
  5. Philadelphia
  6. Pittsburgh
  7. Cleveland
  8. Orlando
  9. Louisville
  10. Portland, ME

So what do you think about how cities ranked for being most/ least attractive? I was surprised to not see New York make the cut.

Check out the slideshow from T+L here to find out about the cities from these odd Top 10 lists.
