Here is an offer from Living Social which can save you some money if you’re willing to fly to some very limited JetBlue destinations…

If you’re interested in flying between New York and the Dominican Republic, Living Social is offering a deal for $33 which will give you a $100 voucher good towards a roundtrip flight. So with the offer you’ll actually be saving $67.

This offer is good for flights from NYC’s JFK Airport to two cities in the DR: Samana (AZS) and La Romana (LRM).

You can fly between January 7, 2015 and June 10, 2015. Tickets must be booked by 1/7/15.The offer is available for another 13 days.

I’m not too familiar with the Dominican Republic and don’t know the areas which the voucher is good to fly to.

Just for fun I decided to look up the cost of a flight to each destination for late January.

I first searched flights for Semana. JetBlue offers flights on this route on limited days of the week. I saw availability for flights (both ways) only being offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays. A roundtrip in late January will set you back around $400.

I then searched for flights to La Romana. I checked dates for a few months and didn’t see any flights available at all. Strange…

Overall this deal from Living Social seems like more a pain than anything else.
