I have to admit that I’m an extremely picky eater when it comes to healthy foods like fruits and vegetables. However, I’m a bit more adventurous when it comes to other kinds of foods. Check out my post: The 6 Oddest Foods That I’ve Ever Tried to get an idea of some of the things that I’ve tried.

Travel + Leisure came up with a slideshow featuring America’s Strangest Sandwiches.

My first thought after reading their title was, I have to check this out. I mean, who doesn’t love a good sandwich? Things placed on a bun or between 2 slices of bread are usually better!

One of my favorites kinds of sandwiches (and foods) is the hamburger. I love how they come in a wide variety of toppings and regional styles. During our trip to Minnesota last summer, I got a chance to try out the Juicy Lucy, a burger stuffed with cheese in a couple of locations. I went through the sandwiches slideshow from T+L and noticed that I have tried one of them and was hoping to try another out, close to home in the near future.

I tried the Doh Nut! burger at PYT a few years back. I got a slider sized version since I just wanted to give it a taste. I liked the burger but am not sure that I’d want to order it again. From what I recall, the burger was pretty interersting but a little too sweet for my liking.

I’d like to try the Ramen Burger which is served in my hometown of Brooklyn at the weekly Smorgasburg market. We were at Smorgasburg this past Sunday and the lines for the Ramen Burger were insane. I asked a guy eating the Ramen Burger how it was and he told me that he wasn’t impressed and didn’t think it was worth the wait. Meanwhile his buddy said he really enjoyed it!

I’d also like to try a sandwich that Ive never heard of before. The Redneck, a fried salami and cheese sandwich between 2 slices of cornbread sounds really interesting and tasty.
