30% Off Your First Month Of GoGo

Screen Shot 2013-12-05 at 12.34.54 PMLast week I used Gogo Inflight internet on Thanksgiving during our flights to Florida with Air Tran. This definitley helped to pass the time during the trip and I even got to finish a post or two while up in the air!

I just received an e-mail from Gogo offering 30% Off Your First Month.

I don’t really have a need for a monthly Gogo pass but if I did, I think this offer would be an excellent deal.

Screen Shot 2013-12-05 at 1.00.58 PMDuring my flights last week I used a free Gogo Internet Session pass that I was given at BAcon (Boarding Area Conference) back in May. I purchased an All Day Pass (good on all flights for the day with Air Tran) which would’ve cost $20.95. Thanks to my pass, my cost was $0. (There were also shorter, cheaper options like a 30 minute pass or a pass good only for your current flight.)

While $20.95 might sound steap, I can see justifying the cost of a day pass if it allows you to be productive and get some work done or even if it helps to just pass the time on a flight.

For those that are flying on a consistent basis, a monthly pass makes a lot more sense.

Gogo offers a couple of options for Buy Before You Fly.

  • Gogo Unlimited– unlimited monthly internet access on any partner airline for $49.95 per month. With the offer I received, the price drops to $34.97 for the first month, with the regular price kicking in after.
  • Traveler Pass– unlimited monthly internet access on your favorite partner airline for $39.95 per month. With my 30% offf offer, the price would be $27.97 for the first month, with the regular price kicking in after.

Partner Airlines:

  • Air Canada
  • Air Tran
  • Alaska Airlines
  • American Airlines
  • Delta
  • Frontier
  • United Airlines
  • US Airways
  • Virgin America

If you sign up for this offer, regular rates do apply starting the following month and thereafter.

The 30% Off offer expires December 31, 2013.

What are your thoughts on paying for internet during a flight? If you’ve tried Gogo or any other inflight internet, did you find it to be a good value?
